Jinny Software: Providing smart solutions for the mobile networks evolution
“Stella EOC has played a crucial role in the sale of Jinny Software Ltd. They supported Acotel in identifying which we believe was the best buyer, in developing the best outcome for the business rather than acting in a speculative short term way, and in negotiating effectively both commercial and financial conditions of the entire operation. We are absolutely satisfied with the work they have done and also with the interpersonal relationships established.”
Luca De Rita, CFO of Acotel Group
A truly international telecom software company
Jinny Software is an Ireland-headquartered subsidiary of the Rome-based Acotel Group (listed on the Milan Stock Exchange) with nine offices in cities around the world including Sao Paolo, Dubai, Nairobi, Kuala Lumpur and Atlanta.
The company provides software and systems for mobile messaging, VAS consolidation, rich communications, and diameter signalling management for wireless carriers in over 70 countries.
Jinny’s solutions enable customers to run different cellular network technologies simultaneously (2G, 3G and LTE), and are integrated with leading infrastructure and network equipment providers.
A genuinely multinational transaction
In the summer of 2014, Jinny was acquired by Enghouse Systems, a leading global provider of enterprise software solutions listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and founded in 1984.
Jinny is a significant addition to the Enghouse Networks Group (division focusing on software solutions for next generation telecommunications and utility networks), expanding its product portfolio and geographic footprint beyond North America and Europe and into other regions.
Jinny also brings to Enghouse a strong mobile operator solutions focus, outstanding global customer relationships and a knowledgeable employee base.
The divestment of Jinny Software will at the same time allow Acotel Group to focus on enhancing its Business Unit NET, dedicated to the development of solutions and services in the energy sector.
Stella EOC acted as sole advisor to the sellers.
