“This is the third transaction for Bookatable and its shareholders brought about by Stella EOC. They have now helped us to raise close to USD 30m in less than eighteen months, recession notwithstanding, and these are great results for Bookatable and for Stella EOC. Because they have committed the resources necessary to know our business very well, and because of their knowledgeable and professional approach, we are confident in them representing us to the most demanding international investors in a way that is highly efficient as well as highly effective for us.”

Delivering millions of diners to its restaurant customers from online reservations
Founded in 2006, Bookatable (fka Livebookings) has built the world’s largest restaurant network, connecting diners with over 17,000 restaurants.
With its award-winning cloud technology that helps restaurants manage their bookings and restaurant floor, the firm manages to deliver all kinds of food, from high-street favourites, to local eateries or the finest Michelin-starred restaurants, including some of the world’s most renowned establishments.
The company has won major industry awards in the past years, as e.g. one of the 30 fastest growing digital media companies in Europe and one of the 100 companies most likely to impact the UK’s media tech industry.
USD 16m raised from prominent VC firm Wellington Partners
Following the successful funding round last year led by Balderton Capital – Bookatable and its new owners engaged Stella EOC to bring a further injection of equity finance to the business, to fund aggressive plans for extending international growth.
In a swift three-month process, Stella EOC worked closely with the company to bring the opportunity to a carefully selected small number of the world’s leading venture capital firms.
Bookatable decided, from the attractive offers that were received, to work with pan-European VC firm Wellington Partners as lead.
With over USD 1bn currently under management, Wellington brings to the company its extensive digital media and internet experience from investments in companies like Xing, Qype, Adconion, and eCircle.
Stella EOC acted as sole advisor to Bookatable.
