Armoza Formats was founded in 2005 in Israel by Avi Armoza. An industry innovator since its inception, Armoza pioneered the export of Israeli formats globally, and paved the way for the country's success on the international market.
Armoza has developed and co-developed over 25 formats since 2012 with an impressive success rate of 78% commissioned internationally. It has a proven, unique capacity to create successful brands from non-broadcast pilots, such as I Can Do That and The Four, both commissioned by US networks. In addition to being an IP owner, Armoza also has a solid distribution platform, with over 500 customers (channels, broadcasters, online platforms and production companies) across 70 countries.
Armoza Formats has been sold to ITV Studios, becoming part of the company’s Global Creative Network
ITV Studios, part of ITV plc (the UK’s largest commercial broadcaster) creates and distributes programming across 55 different production labels, producing over 8.900 hours of programmes each year. Their global footprint spans 12 countries including the UK, US, Australia, France, Germany, The Nordics, Italy and the Netherlands, and their global distribution business sells their catalogue of 45,000+ hours to more than 3000 broadcasters and platforms.
This deal will see Armoza Formats become part of ITV Studio’s Global Creative Network. The Armoza team, based out of Tel Aviv, will continue to develop and source new formats and also work with producers within the ITV Studios group on their projects in development. ITV Studios’ labels will exclusively produce all newly-developed Armoza formats in territories within which it has a presence.
