The company’s flagship product G/On has revolutionized the perception of IT security, infrastructure and remote access in “BYOD” (Bring Your Own Device) environments.

It provides a highly secure, simple and cost effective way for an organization to give secure context-based access to business applications: Using any PC, Mac, iPad and iPhone, one may gain access to an entire office desktop, mail, and/or other specific apps.

Excitor acquires Giritech to deliver secure mobile enterprise applications

Excitor, the mobile enterprise software company, has acquired Giritech for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition delivers the integration of secure mobile web access into the Excitor DME secure container. Adding Giritech’s technology to the Excitor offer will allow enterprises to fully embrace the advantages, for them and their employees, of BYOD.

It will also benefit all instances where corporate and personal data are accessed using the same mobile device, by enabling secure, partitioned access to corporate applications and data. With support for the emerging HTML5 technology, including offline data storage this means that powerful and appealing applications can be deployed rapidly to the field.

Post-merger, G/On will continue to be developed, supported and sold, and the products from the two companies will share a common roadmap.
